Uses:
Lamivudine is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B.
Stavudine is used in the treatment of HIV infection.
Lamivudine prevents the multiplication of HIV virus in human cells. Thus stops the HIV virus from producing new viruses.
